About our Mission
My name is Jessica, and I am a teen living in the Bergen County area. I have always looked forward to turning eighteen and casting my first ballot. Unfortunately, in Bergen County, the voices of our youth, marginalized and indigenous peoples, are underrepresented. To truly embrace our republican ideal, the democratic voting process, we must represent all groups justly. It is my mission with the Amplify our Voices Independent Capstone project to capture the raw data of our underrepresented voters in recent Bergen County elections and to offer resources, with a campaign to boost voter turnout. My goal is to invoke a similar spirit within those I reach, with my excitement of the voting process.
